Luton is now also a major hub for several low-cost carriers, with scheduled services to many European destinations. Charter flights account for the remaining eight percent of the airport's passenger traffic.[3]

The airport is also a centre for business jets, with an executive aviation base run by Harrods Aviation, part of the same group as London's Harrods department store. The airport is served by cargo airlines.

The fastest way to get there is via Luton Airport Parkway from London (30 minutes from St Pancras). (Train2Plane bus between Parkway & Airport) Going via National Express takes approximately 1hr 10 minutes.

Luton Airport by Train

A shuttle bus service connects the station to the Luton Airport Parkway train station, a distance of just over a mile in eight minutes.. Passengers with rail tickets are charged £1 for the shuttle bus while other passengers are charged £1.50
From there, First Capital Connect operates regular services to stations including King’s Cross, Farringdon, London Bridge and Blackfriars in Central London. The new buses are 18 metres long and can accommodate up to 115 passengers plus baggage. A standard single costs £10.90.

Luton Airport by Coach

EasyBus operates a non-stop service from London Luton to central London 24-hours a day. It is a low-cost operator, though its vehicles all feature air-conditioning. running 24-hours a day between the airport and Central London. There are stops at Brent Cross, Finchley Road, Baker Street, Oxford Street/Marble Arch and London Victoria. Fares start at £2 one-way and vary according to demand. easyBus operates this service in partnership with Greenline. Medium sized bags are carried free, as well as hand-baggage. Its lowest fares are only available for passengers booking on its website, though tickets are available from the EasyBus sales desks in the international arrivals hall.

Terravision also operated a low cost service from Luton airport to Victoria station stopping at Brent cross, Marble arch and Baker street.

The Green Line 757 coach service goes to Victoria Coach Station with stops at Brent Cross, Finchley Road Station, Baker Street, Hyde Park Corner and Marble Arch. Services run 24 hours a day, every 15 – 20 minutes during the day and every half hour in the evening. The journey takes 1 hour 15 minutes. A standard one-way ticket costs £11.

Luton Airport by Taxi

There are taxis queuing for customers at Luton Airport. Enquire with the driver or mini-cab company beforehand how much your journey will cost. A metered trip to/from Central London should cost £70 to £80.

Designated disabled parking bays are available in the Short Term, Mid Term and Long Term Car Parks.  The Mid Term and Long Term Car Parks are serviced by a fully accessible shuttle bus. 

Drop Off Zone

Vehicles will be permitted into the drop off zone solely for the convenience of departing passengers and may stay a maximum of 10 minutes; the driver MUST remain with the vehicle at all times.  This facility is NOT open for 'pick up' or collection of arriving passengers.

Arriving passengers should be collected from the short stay car park where normal parking charges apply.

Vehicles left unattended in the drop off zone will be towed away. Vehicles present for more than the permitted 10 minutes will incur charges as follows:

10-15 minutes £5.00
More than 15 minutes £25.00
Vehicles in the drop-off zone for more than 15 minutes are liable to be towed at a cost of £176.50
